Provident Penny Publishing began by accident with the GEOA.org website. The Association hired a company in Macon to build our website back in 2005 and after it was done in 2006, I wanted to add some features. Instead of paying $90 an hour to add features, the original developer taught me how to add some features myself.

I fell in love with the power of the content management system approach to building websites, converted my own little community website to the new system and eventually rebuilt the GEOA.org website to add functionality and usability.

In 2007, I formed Provident Penny Publishing as a company to manage and maintain all of the websites I had created and developed.

Today, the effort to improve GEOA.org has turned into a small web publishing company. We currently own ten websites and are in the midst of a total upgrade of all of our sites. GEOA.org, the site that began it all is the first in line for an upgrade and the rest will follow in the the coming weeks.

Our efforts are focused on turning GEOA.org into a must have resource for the members of GEOA. To enable a greater degree of collaboration, to provide access to ideas and information, to help each election official to be better and more knowledgeable and more effective at what they do.

Any suggestions or comments are always welcome. Just post on the bulletin board any thoughts. We are always looking for ways to improve.

Respectfully,
